The selection of boys and girls born in 2003 excelling at sports has begun. From a group of a few thousand young athletes we will choose a group of 60. This will allow us to be one step closer to creating the Gambian National Ski Team, for both Alpine and Nordic skiing.
The Polish delegation, under the leadership of Mr. Marek Sokolowski and Jaroslaw Przybysz with coach Mr. Marek Kleczek and a psychologist of sport Mrs. Karolina Iwan, will choose the final group that will be granted scholarships to attend Winter Sports Excellence Academy in Szczyrk (SMS Szczyrk).
The members of this project, from both sides, are as follows:

Minister of Sports and Youth of the Gambia Mr. Henry Gomez visiting the school. During his stay at the Academy a letter of intent has been signed.The signatories included: President Marek Sokolowski, headmaster of the Academy (Jarosław Konior), Sport’s Director of Polish Ski Association (Marek Siderek), representative of the local government (Stanisław Pięta).

(Polish Minister of Sport and Tourism) offers help through establishing a scholarship found for talented, young athletes from the Gambia.
Convivienta Mauri is appointed to perform selection of young Gambian's to be send to SMS Szczyrk.
